Windows 8.1 is now firmly entrenched in the market, and Update 1 is now just around the corner. But that doesn’t mean that everything changes. Many features included in the previous operating system have moved forward to the new one, and that trend should continue, at least until version 9 hits the market, which we really have no clue about yet.

One feature that should certainly be hanging around for the foreseeable future is the ability to grab screenshots and easily share them via the web, without the use of additional third-party software. Here’s how you can do this, in a couple of easy steps.

To get started, pull up the screen you wish to grab an image of and then head to the Charms menu. To do so, move your mouse cursor to the top or bottom right of on the screen — for touch screens, the click on the “Share” button to get started.

Once clicked, you will receive two simple options — email and Windows Phone. Choose which one you wish to use for sharing your screenshot.

Click your choice and a screenshot will be snapped and you’ll get the option to access your share method. That’s all there is to it, you’re set.
