Since the invention of computers, commands and different physical devices acted as a medium of inputs for various actions in the computers. Mac and Windows are the first well known OS to come up with the mouse controls. It gave us the easy plug and play options, which made the operating system user friendly to all types of users. Also, it brought the personal computers to common people. In Windows, there are few important options available in the right click menu. Today, I’ve come with a new tool called “Easy Context Menu”, which adds plenty of useful options in the right click menu with all the customizing options. Here’s how it works.
Easy Context Menu is a free application, which supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1. You can download the app using the link at the end of this post. It is a very simple and small application. Once you download and complete the installation, you can see a window with full of options as shown in the screenshot above. In the top menu bar, you have basic options to manage all those commands below. Below the menu bar you can see three different icons, the first one lets you apply the changes, second icon uncheck all the options, the third option will give details and functionality about the application.
Totally there will be seven categories of options in the window. The first category will carry desktop related options like open command prompt, restart the computer, delete temporary files and much more. Next, you have the “My Computer Context Menu”, which is pretty much same as the previous desktop menu. In the next category, you have disk related options like defragment, disk clean up, etc. Fourth category will have the administrator options. Then there will be a file related options like open with notepad, block or remove from firewall, etc.
The sixth category is one of the important ones, which brings all the important system related options to your right click menu. It brings the task manager, device manager, msconfig, run and much more options handy. Last category handles the system restart and log out options.
